Phew!

Last week I had a dream about bed bugs. When I woke up I was soooo itchy and couldn’t sleep all night. The next day I took the whole bed apart, found out that it is actually surprisingly clean, and was able to sleep again.

I have also changed my shampoo since then and my head and neck are not itchy anymore. Must have been allergic to the shampoo. I bought the regular stuff and now I’m fine!

Wow, that was scary.

Thursday

St. Stephen’s Green

On Thursday we registered for classes, got our student ID card, and took an English test in the afternoon. It turns out that it was for ESL students and not for people who have lived in Canada for over 10 years… Anyways, it was nice to be good at something!

City Tour

The University arranged a city tour for us on a double decker bus. It was fun to see the city and I am starting to believe that I AM IN DUBLIN!

Our new home…

Tomorrow is our first day of classes. As a good student I come totally unprepared. I don’t even have any paper. And how do we get to school???

Friends

Oh jetlag… I slept from 21:30 until 4:00 am and then again from 6:00 am till 11:15.

By 12:00 pm, 3 of my friends arrived and there was almost no time to feel lonely.

Haika and I cleaned the kitchen and now I think I can live here until June. Daniela came over and we cooked our first dinner. I must say we’re getting much better at this. In Oslo it took me a few days to collect all the things one needs to cook a decent dinner.

Dublin

I’ve arrived in Dublin. My impressions so far:

1. Everyone drives on the wrong side of the road.
2. Student housing takes some time to get used to.
3. I’m not as homesick as last time, but I miss all of you A LOT.
4. No toilet paper.
5. Must sleep. Good night.
