City Tour

The University arranged a city tour for us on a double decker bus. It was fun to see the city and I am starting to believe that I AM IN DUBLIN!

Our new home…

Tomorrow is our first day of classes. As a good student I come totally unprepared. I don’t even have any paper. And how do we get to school???

Friends

Oh jetlag… I slept from 21:30 until 4:00 am and then again from 6:00 am till 11:15.

By 12:00 pm, 3 of my friends arrived and there was almost no time to feel lonely.

Haika and I cleaned the kitchen and now I think I can live here until June. Daniela came over and we cooked our first dinner. I must say we’re getting much better at this. In Oslo it took me a few days to collect all the things one needs to cook a decent dinner.

Dublin

I’ve arrived in Dublin. My impressions so far:

1. Everyone drives on the wrong side of the road.
2. Student housing takes some time to get used to.
3. I’m not as homesick as last time, but I miss all of you A LOT.
4. No toilet paper.
5. Must sleep. Good night.

tre – to – en drar av gårde

The last few days have been quite sad with everyone leaving… This morning I opened my window and nothing happened. Usually Natalia is there to say hi.

My bags are packed, my room is clean, and I could only be any readier if I got dressed and slept in my clothes for tomorrow. I guess I could have breakfast as well…

I wonder who will scoop up my nice red pot when I leave?

Sweet dreams. See you in Vancouver.

Last day of classes

I did it. I did it! I finished my 3 courses in Oslo.
Yesterday we had our practical exams. My group put on a theatre performance. I was sceptical at first, but I must admit this was one of my favorite projects ever. We had a blast AND learned tons. The piece was about the good teacher/ bad teacher (Audrey made an amazing bad teacher! She claims it was just an act!) and how we meet children in the classroom.

Today we went to school just for the course and semester evaluations and then took the scenic route from our classroom to the foyer (Dani pressed all the buttons in the elevator…)

Mixed feelings today. Sad to leave school, the professors, my new friends, and Oslo. Happy to kiss Evan, sleep in my own bed, and hang out with friends & family.

4 days till take off.
