It’s been so wonderful spending the last week with Mama, Mom, Doug, and Evan <3 Ottawa is beautiful at this time of year.

I’ve been back in Oslo for a few days now, but I’ve been so busy catching up on homework that I didn’t have time to write or post photos. Poor Kristel from Estonia is in a group with me and had to pick up my slack… We had 100s of articles to read (I don’t actually know how many, because I’ve only managed to read a few), then give a presentation today, and write a short paper. No time for jetlag when you’re on such a tight schedule.

On my journey to publishing my Book Club paper (remember the Book Club I started at the daycare with my coworkers???) I’ve spent the last days working on those major edits I mentioned a few weeks ago. I haven’t heard back from the Journal today, so hopefully they are happy with what I’ve submitted this time. It would be so amazing to share this paper with others, maybe I can inspire someone else… Couldn’t have done it without Evan, my writing is too clumsy…

The week in our nation’s capital was pretty fun. We were busy all week attending events. I enjoyed the Best Practices sessions where we got to share what we do with the other recipients. A team of writers will summarize our discussion and publish it later in a document. Meeting Stephen was also very exciting, he asked me how to pronounce my name and where I was from. I think I should have said Vancouver, but I told him that I was from Germany and have worked in Vancouver for many years… We also visited Laureen Harper at 24 Sussex for an afternoon with appetizers and wine. All in all it was an amazing week.

  1. Hi Antje.
Congratulations. Literally rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous! It suits you. Well done.
Tien spotted your picture with the PM on the wall in the hallway in Pooh Corner this morning before I noticed it and she said “Look there’s Antje!” She was very happy to see you.
