There are not photos at all, because we had too much fun. The young man said, &#8220;I can&#8217;t sell you any beer, but I can give you some.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Visiting Craigdarroch Castle, which is basically in our friend&#8217;s backyard.<a href=\"http:\/\/antje.bitterblog.ca\/?attachment_id=2465\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2465\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2465\" src=\"http:\/\/antje.bitterblog.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/P1120592-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"P1120592\" width=\"584\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/antje.bitterblog.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/P1120592-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/antje.bitterblog.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/P1120592-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/antje.bitterblog.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/P1120592-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/antje.bitterblog.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/P1120592-1-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>The restaurant in Metchosin, the<em> My Chosen Cafe<\/em>, which comes pretty close to our favourite place at the Sunshine Coast, the <em>Gumboot<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Checking out Nanaimo nearly 2 years after getting married on Newcastle Island, a small island just outside of Nanaimo.<\/li>\n<li>The ferry ride home &#8211; you know you&#8217;re in BC when you spend some time waiting for your ferry in the summer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With a few vacation days to spare, we decided to go on a trip to Vancouver Island.
